Dowdeswell has appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC), Celebrity Deal Or No Deal (Channel 4)and Olympics Greatest Moments (BBC).

He also played The Count in Ricky Gervais’ Extras

When a quick-witted fraudster is detained at a police station, he prompts an unscheduled investigation into the mysterious death of a suspect who left the building during an interrogation… via a top-floor window.

What follows is a whirlwind of re-enactments and increasingly outrageous excuses, as the ‘Maniac’ runs rings around the police officers and unravels their web of  contradictions and cover-ups.  

In this acclaimed razor-sharp adaptation by Tom Basden of Dario Fo’s 1970s comedy the chaos is relocated to a contemporary London Police Station.          

A hilariously fast-paced farce, that skewers institutional corruption making the madness feel more relevant now than ever.
