LATEST UPDATE ON LEASE RENEWAL August 2025

A massive thank you to everyone who signed our petition. We presented this to the Council in July. You can view the video here: starts at 41 minutes in.

Following the Council meeting, we arranged a visit to the Theatre from the Head of Property & The Council Head of Regeneration, planning and Property. We showed them the site, and had a long discussion regarding what could be done with the site. We received an apology for the original valuation, although the rent review still is proceeding, ELTC has made a number of proposals to the Council and we will meet with them again shortly.

To protect the Club’s lease we will have to serve court papers to the Council shortly even though we are in discussions.

It is sad that the Council decided to use the legal sledgehammer approach when dialogue would have been a far fairer approach.

We will keep you updated when we have more news.

If you have not done so yet check out Wembley Matters, a great blog site who have a lot of information on local affairs.

The theatre will be open on Sundays from

10-12.30 for coffee, set building and light work.

Sadly due to circumstances outside of our control we will not be able to perform Accidental Death of an Anarchist this season.

It will be replaced by a dark comedy, Neville’s Island by Tim Firth. If you have already booked for Anarchist the box office will contact you soon.
